MMA Junkie is an American MMA news site founded in 2006 by Dann Stupp, Eric Foster and Tom Cummins. In 2011 it was acquired by USA Today / Gannett, now USA Today Co., and it lives on the USA Today domain.
The site was named MMA Media Source of the Year at the 17th World MMA Awards, held July 8, 2026 in Las Vegas. The fan-voted awards covered July 2024 through December 2025. MMA Junkie had already won Media Outlet of the Year in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
What you'll find
The site publishes daily UFC and MMA news: announcements, results, quotes and contracts. On fight night it tracks each card with live results, then posts fighter reactions.
Its reporters cover events on site. Mike Bohn, Nolan King and Farah Hannoun are part of the current team, and John Morgan was the lead staff reporter for years. On the video side, the site produces The Bohnfire and posts on its YouTube channel.
The site's history also runs through MMA Junkie Radio. It grew out of TAGG Radio, launched in 2007 and partnered with the site from 2008, and took the MMA Junkie Radio name in early 2009. It aired Monday through Friday from Las Vegas, with a studio set up at the Mandalay Bay Race & Sports Book in 2009, hosted by George Garcia, Brian Garcia and John Morgan.
MMA Junkie Radio ran as a two-hour, guest-driven show with fighters, trainers, promoters and officials, with occasional weekend specials.
