Salahdine Parnasse is the most decorated French fighter on the European circuit. A two-division champion in Poland’s KSW, at featherweight and lightweight, he signed with the UFC in 2026 and knocked out Dan Hooker in his debut, in the main event of UFC Paris, to enter the lightweight rankings at No. 9.

Background

Born on December 4, 1997, in Aubervilliers, just north of Paris, to a Guadeloupean father who served in the military and a Moroccan mother, Parnasse has trained at the Atch Academy in his hometown since the age of eleven. He has never left that gym, which is rare for a fighter at his level.

He debuted in KSW on December 23, 2017, aged 20, against Łukasz Rajewski. Decision wins over Rajewski, Artur Sowiński and former champion Marcin Wrzosek put him straight into title contention.

Two belts in KSW

On April 27, 2019, he stopped Roman Szymański in the second round to become interim featherweight champion. He defended against Ivan Buchinger, then was promoted to full champion when Mateusz Gamrot left the division.

His first loss came on January 30, 2021, a referee stoppage against Austria’s Daniel Torres. He won the rematch on points eleven months later and took back his belt, after submitting Croatia’s Filip Pejić with a rear naked choke in between.

In November 2022 he added the interim lightweight title against Sebastian Rajewski, then became full lightweight champion in June 2023. On December 16, 2023, he chased a third belt against welterweight champion Adrian Bartosiński and lost a decision, his second professional defeat. He then defended his titles against Valeriu Mircea, Wilson Varela, Marian Ziółkowski and Marcin Held, all stopped. KSW announced his departure in April 2026, after nine years and three belts.

UFC

Parnasse’s UFC signing became official on July 26, 2026. On September 5, at the Accor Arena in Paris, he stopped Dan Hooker in the first round, a liver kick followed by ground and pound, earning Performance of the Night.

He also had one pro boxing bout, on October 4, 2025, knocking out former European super lightweight champion Franck Petitjean in the second round.

Fighting style

A rangy striker at 5’10” (179 cm) with a 73-inch (186 cm) reach, Parnasse pairs long strikes with a complete submission game built around the rear naked choke. His wins are spread evenly across knockouts, submissions and decisions. With Benoît Saint-Denis and Morgan Charrière, he leads the current French generation at lightweight and featherweight.
