Jason Parillo is an American boxing coach who specializes in MMA. Before coaching, he boxed professionally from 1998 to 2003 and retired undefeated at 8-0, with 6 wins by knockout.
He moved into MMA in 2007, when he prepared B.J. Penn for his rematch with Jens Pulver. He then spent years at the RVCA Sport Training Center in California until it closed in 2023, and now works under his own name, Parillo Boxing, still with MMA fighters as his main clients.
His Instagram account, @parilloboxing, is his main channel. He posts behind-the-scenes footage of boxing sessions with his fighters: mitt work, combinations, footwork and fight-week preparation.
The website, parilloboxing.com, covers his coaching business. There is no show, series or podcast attached to the account. The content is all about the work in the gym, with short clips that show boxing the way it gets taught to UFC fighters.
His client list is long. He has trained UFC champions B.J. Penn, Michael Bisping, Cris Cyborg, Rafael dos Anjos, Tito Ortiz, Luke Rockhold and Vitor Belfort, and he has also worked with Sean Strickland and Mackenzie Dern.
What he brings is real boxing, taught by a boxer, to MMA. If you train, his clips show how a coach from the boxing world adapts the guard, range and combinations to the cage, where kicks, takedowns and grappling change how you use your hands. If you are a fan, they help you rewatch his fighters' bouts with a sharper eye for what their hands are doing.
This account is mainly for boxers and MMA practitioners who want to sharpen their hands, and for fans who like technical detail. Start with the mitt sessions he posts before one of his fighters competes, since those are the most instructive clips on the page.
Then rewatch a Michael Bisping or Rafael dos Anjos fight and look for the combinations you saw in training. You will notice how the sequences drilled on the mitts show up in the cage, sometimes almost exactly as they were practiced in the gym.
