Overview

Clément Marcou is an MMA coach and strength and conditioning coach. Born in 1984 into a family of traveling fairground workers, he comes from Palavas-les-Flots, a seaside town in southern France, where he owns his MMA gym. He discovered MMA and Brazilian jiu jitsu in 2005 while serving with the 1st RPIMa, a French marine paratrooper regiment.

He trained as a strength coach at INSEP, France's national sports institute, and holds a master's degree focused on elite sport. His YouTube channel has 93,400 subscribers and more than 2,000 videos as of September 2026.

What you'll find

On his channel you get training sessions, strength and conditioning drills, behind the scenes fight week footage and vlogs about life as a coach. The volume is high: with more than 2,000 videos, he posts constantly and documents his work day by day. The content is in French.

His personality is a big part of the channel's appeal. Some of his lines have become cult favorites with French fans, like “la ceinture scapulaire” (the shoulder girdle) or “le coca zéro, ça te sauve un homme” (Coke Zero saves a man). They get quoted all over the French MMA community.

Why follow

Marcou pairs elite level scientific training, through INSEP and his master's degree, with a daily presence in the gym. His conditioning videos explain how a fighter builds strength, cardio and durability to last three or five rounds.

The fight week vlogs show you what a corner goes through before a fight: weigh ins, waiting around, final adjustments. The tone is light and the content stays useful if you train. You come away with a drill, a recovery principle or a way to structure your training week. His path, from a paratrooper regiment to INSEP, also shows how someone who discovered MMA in the military turned it into a career.

MMA Official's take

This is for people who want to improve their conditioning and for fans who enjoy following a coach's daily life, as long as they can follow some French. Start with his strength and conditioning videos, which are the most directly useful. Then watch a fight week vlog to see what goes on behind a fight and get a feel for the man.
