Official weigh-ins for UFC 332 took place Friday, October 2, 2026, in Salt Lake City, a day before the event. Of the five main card bouts, only one fighter missed his weight class limit: Esteban Ribovics, set to face King Green at lightweight.
The scale that changed the fight
Esteban Ribovics weighed in at 156.5 pounds (71 kilograms), half a pound over the lightweight non-title limit. King Green made weight without issue. Half a pound does not sound like much, but it is enough to change the kind of fight these two will have.
Under UFC rules, a miss of that size removes the standard allowance the promotion normally grants. Green and Ribovics will now meet at catchweight instead of a traditional lightweight bout, at a number split between the two men’s weights.
A fine, not a cancellation
Ribovics was fined 20 percent of his fight purse, with the money going to King Green under UFC’s weight miss policy. Neither side announced any other change to the card. The fight stays in its original spot on the main card.
A weight miss on a title-level card is uncommon. It comes just as Ribovics, who slept in a hyperbaric chamber to prepare for Salt Lake City’s altitude, was heading into the fight as a test of his preparation under unusual conditions. For King Green, a veteran of the lightweight division, the miss changes the terms of the fight without changing what is at stake sportingly.
The rest of the main card made weight
Every other main card fighter hit their number without trouble. Natalia Silva (125 pounds, 56.7 kilograms) and Wang Cong (124.5 pounds, 56.5 kilograms) both made weight for the vacant women’s flyweight title, left open after Valentina Shevchenko‘s departure. Deiveson Figueiredo (135 pounds, 61.2 kilograms) and Payton Talbott (135.5 pounds, 61.5 kilograms) also made weight for their bantamweight co-main event.
That fight carries its own storyline. Figueiredo, a two-time former flyweight champion, has dropped four of his last five fights since moving up in weight, while Talbott has won five of his six fights under the UFC banner. Khaos Williams and Roberto Soldic at welterweight, and Ateba Gautier and Roman Kopylov at middleweight, round out a five-fight main card with no other weigh-in issues.
A preliminary card full of familiar names
Fourteen bouts make up the full card, spread across early prelims, prelims and the main card. On the preliminary card, Marcus McGhee meets Anthony Romero, who stepped in on three days’ notice, and unbeaten heavyweight Anthony Wint faces Lucas Armand.
The early prelims bring a run of names American fans will know: Johnny Walker against Mick Parkin at heavyweight, Rafael dos Anjos against Alexander Hernandez at lightweight, and Marvin Vettori against Ismail Naurdiev at middleweight. Two welterweight bouts, Jacobe Smith against Bruce Whitehead and Court McGee against Eric Nolan, round out the early card.
Rafael dos Anjos, a former UFC lightweight champion, meets fellow veteran Alexander Hernandez, while Marvin Vettori, a two-time middleweight title challenger, looks to get back in the win column. Both men enter with plenty on the line of their own: Dos Anjos is fighting into the later stage of a long career, and Vettori is looking to show he still belongs in the middleweight title picture.
The night also marks a turning point for the women’s flyweight division, tied to Valentina Shevchenko’s name for nearly a decade. Whether Natalia Silva or Wang Cong wins, the UFC crowns a first-time champion in that weight class, a storyline that outlasts, for one night, the weigh-in miss between King Green and Esteban Ribovics.
