Jordan Zébo, nicknamed Le Fauve, is a French fighter from Martinique who became the ARES Fighting Championship welterweight champion. Trained at MMA Factory in Paris under Fernand Lopez, he has built a reputation as a well-rounded fighter, equally comfortable standing or on the ground. His career, marked by a lightning-fast loss to Cédric Doumbé followed by a climb back to the title, illustrates the ability to bounce back at the highest level of French MMA.
Born on September 16, 2000, Jordan Zébo is from the town of Sainte-Marie, in Martinique. He started MMA at the Antilles MMA club in Sainte-Thérèse before joining MMA Factory in Paris, where he trained under Fernand Lopez, who also manages other French fighters. His fighting style blends boxing, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a range of disciplines that lets him adapt his strategy to each opponent. He made his first steps in 2019 at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation, in the amateur ranks, winning two fights by decision before suffering his first loss, by submission. In March 2020, he fought his only bout in the amateur organization MMA Battle Arena, the final stop of his amateur run before turning professional.
Jordan Zébo joined the ARES Fighting Championship in 2022 and strung together wins, against Karim Ghajji and then Calebe Maia Nascimento. In September 2023, he faced Cédric Doumbé during the PFL Europe playoffs in Paris and lost by KO in just nine seconds, the fastest in PFL history. He then rebuilt with a series of wins at ARES, until facing Baysangur Chamsoudinov in October 2025 at ARES FC 35, whom he beat by KO to win the welterweight title. He then defended his belt against Ramazan Mustafaev and André Fialho, the latter fight ending in a fourth-round submission. A rematch against Baysangur Chamsoudinov is scheduled for November 20, 2026, at ARES FC 45, at the Adidas Arena in Paris.
Jordan Zébo stands out for the versatility of his game, able to end a fight by KO, submission, or decision alike, which makes him a difficult opponent to prepare for. His training at MMA Factory, a school recognized for the quality of its ground work, shows in his ability to finish opponents by choke, as seen in his win over André Fialho. His quick loss to Cédric Doumbé, however, revealed a vulnerability against a pure striker able to land on him in the opening exchanges. His path, from the Antilles to the top of the ARES Fighting Championship, illustrates the diversity of trajectories in French MMA, alongside fighters such as Stéphane Coignon.
