Frequently asked questions
Compression shorts or a belt?
Compression shorts keep the cup in place on the ground. The belt is more common in boxing and Muay Thai.
Is a groin guard mandatory in competition?
Yes for men, under professional MMA rules as well as in most amateur rulebooks.
When should you replace it?
As soon as it is cracked or deformed, or when the compression shorts no longer hold it in place.
