Roberto Soldic makes his UFC debut tonight against American striker Khaos Williams at UFC 332 inside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The former two-time KSW welterweight champion steps into the Octagon for the first time against a fighter known for explosive finishes.
A European veteran arrives in the UFC
Roberto Soldic, 31, was born in Vitez, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and fights under the Croatian flag. Nicknamed Robocop, he carries a 21-4 record with 1 no contest since turning professional in 2014. He is a two-time KSW welterweight champion, with two successful title defenses, and also held the promotion’s middleweight title. He later competed for ONE Championship, fighting in front of crowds of 20,000 to 25,000 across Poland, the Philippines and Qatar.
His resume includes wins over Michal Materla, Patrik Kincl and Dagi Arslanaliev. He is also remembered for a two-fight series with current UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis in 2018, losing the first meeting before scoring a first-round knockout in the rematch. After more than a decade spent headlining shows outside the UFC, Soldic signed with the promotion on September 4, 2026, ending years of speculation about a move to the Octagon.
“I’m ready for this. I waited so long for this moment,” Soldic said during fight week. On his opponent’s power, he added: “pure power, for sure. Explosive. He can take it also.”
Soldic made his pro MMA debut in 2014 and built his early reputation in regional European promotions before joining KSW, where his two welterweight title reigns and middleweight title run made him one of the organization’s signature stars. His move away from ONE Championship and into the UFC closes out a run across three continents spanning more than a decade.
Williams brings knockout power
Khaos Williams, nicknamed The OxFighter, hails from South Bend, Indiana. He enters with a 16-5 professional record. Known for fast, violent finishes, he opened his Octagon run with a 27-second knockout, a style that has made him one of the most feared punchers in the welterweight division. The bout (170 pounds, 77.1 kilos) sits on the UFC 332 main card.
“I’m like a grown man. 31 years old. Power is there, confidence is there. Discipline,” Soldic said, pointing to his experience against a younger UFC roster. He also welcomed his placement on the card: “I’m on the main card, which is good for me. UFC puts respect on my name also with this.” A main-card slot on debut is a rare starting point for a newcomer to the promotion.
For Soldic, the stakes go beyond a single result. After years spent headlining regional and international promotions without ever fighting in the Octagon, this matchup is meant to answer whether he can compete with the top tier of a UFC welterweight division widely considered one of the promotion’s deepest.
A win would put Soldic straight into the welterweight rankings conversation. A loss on debut, by contrast, would slow the momentum he built over a career that spanned KSW, ONE Championship and stints in Cage Warriors, among other promotions, before he ever stepped into the Octagon.
The rest of the UFC 332 card
The Soldic-Williams bout is part of a card topped by the vacant flyweight title fight between Brazil’s Natalia Silva and China’s Wang Cong. The main card also features Esteban Ribovics against King Green, after Ribovics missed weight and the bout was kept on at catchweight, plus late replacement Anthony Romero stepping in against Marcus McGhee. Dana White is also expected to use the event to reveal Alex Pereira‘s next opponent.
