Jon “Bones” Jones (born July 19, 1987, 6’4″ (194 cm), reach 7’1″ (215 cm)) is considered by a large part of the MMA community to be the greatest fighter of all time. A former two-division UFC champion (light heavyweight and heavyweight), he holds a 28-1 record, his only loss being a technical disqualification against Matt Hamill in 2009 for illegal elbows (a move since legalized in 2024). Trained at the famous Jackson-Wink MMA in New Mexico, Jones is known for his versatile style combining unpredictable striking, exceptional reach and high-level grappling. His rivalry with Daniel Cormier remains one of the most intense in the promotion’s history. He closed out his career in style on November 16, 2024, winning by third-round TKO (4:29) against Stipe Miocic, before announcing his retirement. His career was also marked by controversies outside the cage and doping cases that have fueled debate about his legacy. Find all the UFC and heavyweight fighters on MMA Official.
