Overview

Cageside Press is an independent MMA news site founded in April 2017 and based in Welland, Ontario, Canada. Its stated goal is to cover all things MMA, filter out the noise and present what really matters.

In January 2019 the site merged with MMA Today, which expanded its coverage network. The team includes writers, editors and photographers, both established and up-and-coming journalists, among them Jay Anderson, Alexander Behunin, Gabriel Gonzalez, Eddie Law, Daniel Vreeland and Patrick Danna.

What you'll find

The site publishes news, original fighter interviews, opinion and analysis, previews and results. What sets it apart is the space it gives promotions outside the UFC: the PFL, ONE Championship, RIZIN, KSW, LFA and Invicta FC are covered regularly, on top of the UFC.

Cageside Press also covers other combat sports, including boxing. Content extends to a podcast on Apple Podcasts, a YouTube channel and photo galleries.

The site is active on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Tumblr. For fight photos it relies in part on a partnership with Sherdog. Previews and results follow the major cards of the promotions it covers, and original interviews round out that coverage.

For every promotion it covers, you get news, previews and results, and the list also includes Bellator. If you follow the PFL or ONE on top of the UFC, it is all on one site. The site's photographers and editors work alongside the writers, so event coverage often comes with its own galleries.
