Overview
UFC Stats is the site that publishes official UFC fight statistics. The data comes from FightMetric, the system created by Rami Genauer, which became the UFC's official statistics provider in September 2010 after several years of working together.
When the deal was announced, Rami Genauer said UFC fans would have access to data more powerful than anything previously available in MMA. It marked the first time full statistics went beyond a simple win-loss record.
Before FightMetric, fans and media mostly judged fights on the eye test and the record. Official numbers gave broadcasters, writers and bettors a shared reference.

Fighter statistics help you compare styles before a fight: a wrestler who chains takedowns against a fighter with strong takedown defense, or a high-volume striker against a counter puncher. Round pages also show you where a fight turned.
