Ailin Perez beat Norma Dumont by unanimous decision, 29-28 on all three cards, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 121. Dumont rejects the result, and part of the MMA media had her winning.
Three rounds, three readings
According to Yahoo Sports, Perez took the first round with an entry combination, a takedown and top control. The second swung to Dumont, who shut down the Argentine’s wrestling, landed her own takedown and struck more cleanly on the feet.
The third decided it. Cageside Press saw a busier Perez early in the round, landing rights, then clinching against the fence in the final 90 seconds without getting the takedown. Lowkick MMA saw Dumont controlling the center of the Octagon with low kicks and the left hook. All three judges gave the round to Perez. Full results are on our UFC results page.
Dumont calls it an absurdity
Quoted by Yahoo Sports on September 27, Dumont called the decision “one of the biggest absurdities” she has seen in MMA and said: “I don’t accept it.” Cageside Press reports that security had to separate the two women when the verdict was read. At the weigh-in face-off, Dumont had thrown condoms and banknotes at Perez, who answered with a mocking Instagram post relayed by Sherdog.
Not everyone agrees with Dumont. Argentine featherweight Kevin Vallejos, quoted by Sherdog, scored it 29-28 for his compatriot and said a robbery claim was impossible, while conceding the third round was close.
A seventh straight win for Perez
Perez extends her win streak to seven, confirmed by ufc.com and Sherdog, and moves to 14-2 according to Sherdog. Dumont drops a second straight fight and falls to 13-4. Where both stand in the division is on our UFC rankings page, updated after every official release.
The bantamweight title is on the line at UFC 334

In the main event, Raul Rosas Jr. stopped Raoni Barcelos with a slam and strikes at 1:38 of the fifth round, per ufc.com, for his sixth straight win and his first UFC headliner. Luis Hernandez submitted Sedriques Dumas with a guillotine in 50 seconds on short notice, and Tina Black won The Ultimate Fighter 34 strawweight final against Melissa Amaya.
