1-2-2 (W-L-D)
Loss breakdown not available.
Daguir Imavov has fought at lightweight on the European regional circuits for more than a decade, away from the UFC spotlight where his younger brother Nassourdine competes. Born in Dagestan and based in France, he holds a record of 1 win, 2 losses and 2 draws across five known fights.
Daguir Imavov was born on November 4, 1991, in Khasavyurt, Dagestan, Russia. He later settled in France, where he obtained French nationality. He is the older brother of Nassourdine Imavov, four years his junior and now a UFC middleweight. The two brothers wrestled each other growing up before each turning to mixed martial arts.
Daguir Imavov trains at MMA Factory in Paris under Fernand Lopez. His brother Nassourdine trained there alongside him until 2023, before leaving the gym following his losses to Sean Strickland and his no-contest against Chris Curtis. Featherweight Taylor Lapilus, also trained by Fernand Lopez at the same gym, competes within the same Paris ecosystem. Unlike his brother, Daguir Imavov has never fought in the UFC and has continued his career in regional European promotions, where the level of opposition, according to specialized media, remains below that of the top of the sport worldwide.
Daguir Imavov began his professional career in 2013. On September 26 of that year, he faced S. Bak at EMMA 6 and lost by submission, rear-naked choke, in the third round. On April 26, 2014, he shared the card at FMC Premium 2 against D. Lapilus, and the fight ended in a draw.
On January 12, 2019, Daguir Imavov faced Mateusz Rebecki in the main event of FEN 23, in Lubin, Poland, in the 154-pound (70 kg) division. According to Polish media, Rebecki dominated the first round, and Imavov did not come out for the second, recorded as a first-round TKO loss by corner stoppage.
Daguir Imavov bounced back in 2021 under the Ares FC banner. On December 11, he beat David-Tonatiuh Crol by unanimous decision at Ares FC 2, after three full rounds. It then took until June 14, 2024, to see him back in the cage: facing Axel Sola at Ares FC 22, he went the full five scheduled rounds, and the fight was ruled a majority draw. It is, to date, Daguir Imavov’s most recent fight.
Available sources do not describe Daguir Imavov’s technical base in detail. His fight record, however, offers a few clues: his only recorded win came on the scorecards over the full distance, and his last two fights both went to the final bell without a finish, one over three rounds and the other over five. By contrast, both of his losses came quickly, by submission in the third round against Bak and by first-round stoppage against Rebecki. This record points to a fighter capable of going the distance against opponents he can contain, but more exposed when caught off guard early. The majority draw against Axel Sola over five full rounds in 2024 confirms this ability to last a long fight without, so far, managing to close it out with a clear win.
