Christian Lee is a Canadian-American fighter competing at ONE Championship, where he holds both the lightweight and welterweight titles. Born in Vancouver and trained in Singapore at Evolve MMA, he is one of the few champions in the organization’s history to have held two belts at the same time.
Christian Seung Yong Lee was born on June 21, 1998, in Vancouver, Canada. He grew up in a family of fighters: his sister Angela Lee became a ONE Championship world champion, and his brother Adrian Lee later joined the same organization. Before moving to MMA, Christian Lee first made a name for himself in pankration and grappling, winning the 2012 WPAF world championship, two national titles at the 2012 USA Pankration National Championships, the 2013 USFL Pankration championship and the 2013 FILA grappling world championship.
He then moved to Singapore to train at Evolve MMA, where he earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Mike Fowler. His amateur career began in 2015 with Star Elite Cage Fighting, before he signed with ONE Championship to begin his professional career at featherweight.
Christian Lee began his professional career at ONE Championship featherweight, stringing together wins until his first setback against Martin Nguyen on May 18, 2018, losing a five-round decision for the divisional title. He then suffered a disqualification loss to Edward Kelly on September 8, 2018, before avenging that result against the same opponent by TKO on January 19, 2019.
He then moved up to lightweight, where he captured the title from Shinya Aoki by TKO on May 17, 2019, then won the 2019 ONE Championship Lightweight World Grand Prix with a decision win over Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev. He defended the belt against Iuri Lapicus in October 2020 and against Timofey Nastyukhin in April 2021, before losing it on points to Ok Rae-yoon on September 24, 2021. He reclaimed the title on August 26, 2022, again against Ok Rae-yoon, by second-round TKO.
On November 18, 2022, he also became welterweight champion by beating Kiamrian Abbasov by TKO, after Abbasov missed weight for the bout, joining a short list of ONE Championship two-division champions alongside fighters such as Johnny Eblen and Vadim Nemkov. He then faced Alibeg Rasulov in a lightweight title defense on December 6, 2024, a bout stopped without a decision after an accidental eye poke. On November 16, 2025, at ONE 173, he settled the matter by beating Rasulov with a second-round TKO from knee strikes, retaining his lightweight belt.
Christian Lee builds his style on a wrestling and pankration base, complemented by a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and the striking instruction of Evolve MMA. His offensive game relies on heavy knee and elbow strikes at close range, which explains the high share of stoppage wins in his record. He competes at both lightweight and welterweight, a physical versatility that places him alongside other versatile heavyweight fighters in the organization such as Corey Anderson and Phil De Fries, and that lets him compete in two divisions at the highest level of ONE Championship, alongside champions such as Kayla Harrison.
