Paddy McCorry is an Irish middleweight from Belfast, the reigning Cage Warriors champion since February 2026. His professional record stands at 7 wins and 2 losses, built entirely between Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the UFC.
Patrick Joseph McCorry, known as Paddy McCorry, was born on December 9, 1997, in Belfast. Trained at Fight Academy Ireland, he turned professional at middleweight on the regional Cage Conflict circuit: a KO or TKO win over Petru Plesa on August 12, 2021, then a rear-naked choke submission over Cathal Manning on December 4 of the same year. These first two wins, earned in Northern Ireland without going past the first round, preceded his signing with a more exposed Northern Irish and British promotion.
McCorry joined Cage Warriors in 2022. He lost a decision to James Webb at Cage Warriors 145 on November 4, before reeling off three wins: a KO or TKO over Angus Hewett at Cage Warriors 153 on April 29, 2023, a submission over Samir Kadi at Cage Warriors 161 on October 14, 2023, then a KO or TKO over Tye Palmer at Cage Warriors 180 on November 15, 2024. On May 31, 2025, he beat Shuki Farage by unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 189, his fifth win in the British promotion.
On February 21, 2026, McCorry faced Dario Bellandi for the middleweight title at Cage Warriors 200, a landmark event for the promotion. He won by KO or TKO in the first round, at 3:28, and became champion, in a promotion that has also featured Mason Jones and Morgan Charrière. It remains his most recent fight, at age 28.
Between his Cage Warriors runs, McCorry made two attempts at the UFC. On August 14, 2024, he faced Robert Valentin on The Ultimate Fighter season 32 and lost by first-round submission. On September 17, 2025, he appeared on the Dana White’s Contender Series against In Soo Hwang and won by unanimous decision, though he did not receive a UFC contract after the fight, a path he could revisit after his run with the Cage Warriors middleweight title.
Paddy McCorry fights out of a switch stance and splits his wins between striking and the ground: 3 of his 7 victories have come by KO or TKO, 2 by submission, and 2 by decision. His title win, earned in under two minutes against Dario Bellandi, confirms an ability to finish quickly when the stakes are highest, after a first-round submission loss had interrupted his streak during his first run at the UFC the year before.
Most of McCorry’s fights are settled before the final bell. Only his bouts against James Webb, lost on points, and against Shuki Farage and In Soo Hwang, won on points, have gone to the judges’ decision, underlining an aggressive style that looks for the finish whenever the chance arises.
